Mangosteens contain several powerful antioxidants that fight cell-damaging free radicals in your body. It does this by neutralizing free radicals before levels become too high and causing oxidation to occur.

Free radicals are linked to many chronic and degenerative conditions, including autoimmune disorders, heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and aging. 5

Magnosteen fruit contains many vitamins and compounds with antioxidant properties, including Vitamin C and Vitamin B-9 (Folate). It even contains a couple powerful metabolites of Xanthones, plant compounds known to have potent antioxidant properties, as well as having an anti-inflammatory, neuroprotective, and anti-obesity effect. 6, 7
